Access Associate Senior - Pre Admitting Unit - Part Time

Make a meaningful impactonthe front line of patient access and experience. As an Access Associate Senior at UVA Health, you play a critical role in ensuring patients receive seamless, compassionate entry into care across a complex and high-performing academic medical system.

The starting base rate for this role is $19.50/hr individual compensation will bedeterminedby the selected candidate’spreviouswork experience, education, and/or experience. Wealso offer a $3,500 sign on bonus which requires a2-yearcommitmentto UVA Healthfor eligible candidates.

In this high-impact position, you will serve as a trusted access expert across multiple clinical settings, supporting patient intake, registration, scheduling, and financial clearance functions. Your ability to adapt quickly,maintain accuracy, and provide outstanding service will directly influence both patient experience and operational efficiency.

On any given day, you may:

• Perform
  patient registration, insurance verification, and demographic updates
  with a high levelof accuracy

• Communicate directly with patients and families,providing
  clear guidance on processes, expectations, and next steps

• Collaborate with clinical teams, providers, and fellow access staff to
  resolve complex scheduling or registration challenges

• Maintain composure in a
  fast-paced, high-volume environment
  while prioritizing both patient care and compliance standards

• Experience:
  
  2+ years of directly relevant experience required.
• Licensure:

The pay range for this role is $19.50 - $33.94 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
