Catering & Events CaptainSalary Range: $20.00 To $23.00 Hourly
Everyone Eats Catering, part of Villagio Hospitality Group, delivers exceptional culinary experiences for weddings, corporate events, and private gatherings. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Catering & Events Captain to join our team.
This hands‑on hourly leadership role is responsible for the full execution of catering events and deliveries, from pack‑out and transport to on‑site setup, client communication, service oversight, and breakdown. The Catering & Events Captain serves as the on‑site leader and primary client contact, ensuring every event reflects Villagio Hospitality Group’s standards of excellence.
Primary Responsibilities- Execute catering events and drop‑offs from start to finish.
- Serve as the primary on‑site contact for clients, venue partners, and coordinators.
- Oversee and delegate event setup and breakdown, including buffets, stations, beverage service, and table settings.
- Conduct pre‑shift meetings reviewing BEOs and key service standards.
- Supervise event flow to ensure smooth, timely, and polished execution.
- Step into service roles (server/bartender) as needed.
- Safely load, transport, and unload catering orders and equipment.
- Ensure on‑time delivery while maintaining food quality and presentation.
- Complete required delivery and event paperwork accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles and equipment.
- Report delivery or vehicle issues promptly.
- Review BEOs and attend meetings
- Coordinate timelines, staffing needs, and event logistics.
- Complete pack‑outs according to departmental standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company policies.
- Inspect event space’s post‑function cleanliness and proper equipment return.
- Communicate effectively with support teams and management.
- Strong time management, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent leadership and team coordination abilities.
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of events.
- Professional appearance with a guest‑first mindset.
- Ability to safely operate standard food service equipment.
- Knowledge of safe driving practices.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of catering, banquet leadership, or similar experience.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required (CDL a plus).
- Knowledge of food, beverage, and wine service preferred.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to transport up to 30 lbs continuously in event environments.
