## IT Software Engineer – Manufacturing ITManassas, Virginia, United States of America As a Manufacturing IT Software Engineer at Micron, you will play a critical dualrole supporting the applications and systems that power a highly automated semiconductor fabrication facility. This position combines IT Operations (incident response, monitoring, reliability engineering) with IT Development (enhancements, automations, rootcause fixes), requiring strong technical versatility and the ability to collaborate seamlessly across Development, Operations, and Manufacturing teams.

You will serve as a site-level owner for key manufacturing applications and participate in a 24×7 oncall rotation to ensure high availability of production systems. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, cross-functional communication, and the ability to drive both rapid operational recovery and long-term engineering improvements.
** Responsibilities
* * Document system knowledge, troubleshooting procedures, and recovery processes.
** Required Experience and Skills
** 3-5 years of experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field Experience in IT operations, incident management, and production system support. Proficiency in C# or similar object-oriented programming languages.

Strong SQL experience with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle. Experience working with REST APIs and web service integrations. Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving skills. Hands-on experience with Service Now ITSM, controlled change/deployment processes, and participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
** Preferred Experience and Skills
** Source control and Dev Ops tooling experience (Git, Git Hub, Azure Dev Ops, CI/CD pipelines). Scripting and programming experience (Python, Power Shell, Perl; Angular a plus).Containerization and orchestration knowledge (Docker, Open Shift, Kubernetes). Configuration management and service tools experience (Ansible, Consul). Monitoring and logging experience (Splunk or similar monitoring tools, logging frameworks). Systems and data-flow experience (basic Linux and Windows Server administration;
