Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Tech Specialist to support a company delivering innovative automation, power monitoring, and control system solutions for mission-critical environments. This position is on-site in Manassas, VA. The Tech Specialist will lead technical implementation, commissioning, integration, and troubleshooting of BMS, EPMS, SCADA, and ICS systems. This role helps ensure operational excellence and reliability for customer facilities.
Responsibilities for the Tech Specialist include:
* Support development, deployment, and maintenance of complex BMS, EPMS, and SCADA architectures
* Configure TCP/IP networks, communication devices, and Modbus gateways; troubleshoot link failures
* Perform point-to-point testing, functional checkout, and commissioning on EPMS/BMS systems
* Configure electrical distribution equipment including meters, PDUs, ATS, STS, UPS, and generators
* Prepare and review electrical sketches, commissioning plans, and documentation
Required Qualifications for the Tech Specialist include:
* 6-12+ years experience installing, testing, or troubleshooting EPMS/BMS/SCADA/Industrial instrumentation
* Strong background in data center systems, device installation, VMS, and advanced troubleshooting
* Knowledge of PLCs, building automation, controls, power distribution, and SCADA platforms
* High School Diploma with 6+ years experience OR Associate's with 4+ years experience
* Willingness to travel to customer sites as required
Compensation for the Tech Specialist includes:
* Salary Range: $67,000-$135,000
** depending on experience and various levels*
