Responsibilities An Average Day:As the Solutions Architect III you will design and oversee the implementation of complex technology solutions that align with business objectives. You will use strategic thinking to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution while ensuring scalable, secure, and cost‑effective solutions. The role is instrumental in ensuring that the managed IT environments meet customer needs and integrate seamlessly within our service delivery pipelines.
You will serve as a strategic technical leader, driving architectural decisions that support both immediate project needs and long‑term organizational growth, and support scalable, secure, and efficient IT environments for distributed workforce operations.
- Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical solutions that address specific business problems and goals
- Create comprehensive solution designs including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation roadmaps
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, frameworks, and products based on business needs, technical constraints, and cost considerations
- Ensure solutions adhere to organizational architecture standards, security requirements, and compliance regulations
- Guide development teams through implementation challenges and serve as the primary technical authority for projects
- Collaborate with business leaders, product managers, developers, and other IT teams to align solutions with organizational objectives
- Assess existing systems and processes to identify improvement opportunities and technical debt reduction strategies
- Identify potential technical risks and develop mitigation strategies before and during implementation
- Create functional prototypes to validate architectural approaches and demonstrate technical feasibility
- Maintain comprehensive solution documentation including rationale for key decisions, constraints, and future considerations
- Conduct training sessions and create documentation to support knowledge transfer to implementation and support teams
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative approaches that create competitive advantages
- Serve as an on‑site technical liaison, providing responsive support for ad‑hoc client requests to maintain strong working relationships
- Perform situational troubleshooting and issue resolution to maintain goodwill and ensure continued access to client systems
- All candidates must be U.S. citizens. In accordance with 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(2)(C), we will not consider candidates who do not meet this condition.
- Must have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with SCI eligibility, or already hold an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
- Will be subject to a federal background investigation.
- 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with a focus on designing and implementing complex cloud solutions.
- Must hold a current 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP).
- Expert understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.), proficiency in infrastructure as code (Terraform, Cloud Formation, etc.), and deep experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Has designed several scalable, high‑performance architectures, possesses a strong understanding of microservices, serverless, and other cloud‑native approaches.
- Expert understanding of cloud security best practices, identity and access management, encryption, and compliance.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical solutions to diverse stakeholders.
- Extensive experience with Agile development methodologies and iterative development cycles.
- Must be able to travel regularly, both domestically and internationally; international travel will require a current U.S. passport.
