Responsibilities- Work with the Product Owner and Squad members to develop, test, configure, upgrade and maintain Datacenter Network Infrastructure in line with agreed requirements.
- Work with your team to implement and operate your solutions.
- Deploy Network Infrastructure and Life‑Cycle management according to our change management processes.
- Collaborate with our internal and external customers following Dev Ops/Agile principles and best practices.
- Assist in developing and maintaining technical documentation.
- Interact and collaborate with other internal teams to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
- Manage issues with a focus on continuous improvement: automate, educate, and share knowledge transparently.
- Develop yourself and others in a true Dev Ops agile environment.
- This position is mission‑critical and offers flexible work – minimum 2 days onsite and maximum 3 days from home per week.
- Will perform weekend deployment activities and on‑call on a rotational basis with peer team members (estimated one Saturday out of four weekends).
- Perform Swift Datacenter Network’s Network devices installations and provide end‑user/application connectivity.
- Perform Network Management software deployments and upgrades.
- Investigate Network problems (Level2) identified by daily Operations Level1 and execute corrective actions.
- Maintain Carrier infrastructure for all SWIFT locations and escape critical issues according to procedures.
- Pro‑actively improve existing processes and procedures.
- Conduct security integrity checks for Swing Enterprise Network baseline compliance after major changes.
- Oversee troubleshooting and resolution of complex network‑related incidents, including performance bottlenecks, security breaches, and misconfigurations.
- Utilise tools such as Sev One, Wire Shark, SMARTS, Splunk to monitor performance, analyse traffic patterns, and optimise configurations.
- Partner with Architecture, SOC, Security and Operational teams to integrate network systems with broader infrastructure and applications.
- Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures for audit and operational purposes.
- Ensure network deployments meet industry standards and regulations such as PCI‑DSS, GDPR, ISAE, DORA.
- Stay ahead of emerging threats and technologies, recommending upgrades or new tools to enhance network security.
- Communicate effectively in English, articulating technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 8+ years of solid work experience.
- Hands‑on expertise with CISCO ACI infrastructure.
- Expertise on CISCO IOS.
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols: EIGRP, BGP, ISIS, MPLS, VRF, VDC.
- Good knowledge of Quality of Service (QoS).
- Good knowledge of ACI products such as Tetration, NDO & NDI (or Orchestrator), APIC.
- Strong Cisco knowledge mandatory (CCNA or CCNP certifications are an asset).
- Experience with hybrid or cloud environments (e.g., integration with AWS/Azure).
- Familiarity with SD‑WAN and Zero Trust architecture.
- Familiarity with Zero Touch/Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC).
- Autonomous, driven, with strong adaptability to change.
- Customer‑oriented with a quality mindset.
- Knowledge of network security: MACSEC / IPSEC, RADIUS, TACACS, 802.1x, ISE.
- Knowledge of switching technologies:
Spanning Tree, vPC, OTV. - Knowledge of WLAN: APs, WLC, Prime Infrastructure, CMX.DNAC.
- Experience with automation/scripting (Python, Ansible, Bash) for datacenter network management.
- Basic knowledge of monitoring & management systems: HP NNMi, Wireshark, Infoblox, Sev One, DHCP, Netmri.
- Basic knowledge of network observability.
- Dev Ops tools:
Ansible, Terraform, Git, Jenkins, CI/CD, Python required. - Familiarity with Jira, Confluence and Service Now for collaboration.
- Experience operating in Linux operating system.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline and automation technologies for build and deployment – Ansible, Jenkins.
Estimated salary range in Virginia: $96,499.00 USD – $ USD annually. Salary may vary based on job‑related factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
