AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and equipment that ensure customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

The Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) team manages construction activity within operational data center spaces, focusing on critical infrastructure improvement projects that optimize utilization of space, power, and cooling across the globe. These activities are outside the scope of standard construction delivery and regular preventative maintenance tasks.

We are seeking a Data Center Project Manager to serve as a technical resource within Amazon data centers. The role is responsible for project oversight and review of all disciplines including electrical, mechanical, controls, and architecture. The manager must have a fundamental understanding of these systems to identify areas for improvement, analyze data from other teams, and propose solutions.

The scope of projects includes, but is not limited to, the improvement of electrical, mechanical, fire detection, and building automation systems. The Project Manager leads the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.

• 5+ years of construction or project management experience.
• 5+ years managing projects in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure in an operational space (e.g., facility with 24/7 emergency backup, semiconductor, auto, medical equipment, clean rooms, mass transportation, oil & gas, utilities, hospitals).
• 5+ years in on‑site construction trades (mechanical, electrical, general) Vendor Management.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or similar technical focus.
• 5+ years of electrical or mechanical, or 5+ years of data center engineering experience.
• Ability to work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs, incorporate feedback, and evaluate new ideas with stakeholders.
