Data Center Engineer – Manassas

Location: Manassas, VA (On‑site)
Type: Full‑Time
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (On‑call rotation required)
Salary: $21.44–$27.60

Join Leaseweb’s award‑winning team and help shape the future of cloud hosting by supporting mission‑critical infrastructure across the U.S. The Data Center Operations Engineer works with our nine data center facilities, handling the deployment and support of hardware and hosting services for end users.

Key responsibilities include:

• Installing, relocating, and removing server equipment
• Assisting customers with server and equipment installation in the data center
• Upgrading or downgrading hardware components
• Replacing hardware and managing RMAs
• Testing servers to meet performance standards
• Supporting provisioning in Manassas and other U.S. data centers

• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience working in a data center with servers
• Proficient with various operating systems, especially Linux
• Strong knowledge of hardware (servers, switches, KVM, hard drives, memory, etc.)
• Basic network knowledge (DNS, IP/Netmask, gateway, etc.)
• Valid driver’s license
• Certificate or degree in Computer Science or a related field with an emphasis on technology is preferred
• Strong work ethic, professional and effective communication skills, time‑management ability, and teamwork orientation
• Great attention to detail
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to other data centers; travel not exceeding 10%

• Agents scheduled for end‑of‑day (EOD) work receive $125.00 per month regardless of actual service hours
• EOD payout occurs on the last paycheck of each month
• Supplementary 80% of hourly wage rate for hours worked as EOD
