Project Manager, Operations Manager, Program ​/ Project Manager

Location: Northern Virginia

Metric is partnered with a well-established, family-owned civil site contractor in Northern Virginia that has built a strong regional reputation over 35+ years. Due to continued growth and a healthy backlog of work, they are seeking a Project Manager to oversee civil site and utility projects from award through closeout.

This role offers a strong balance of office-based project management and field engagement, working closely with estimating, operations, field crews, and executive leadership.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple civil site development and utility projects from pre-construction through completion
• Coordinate daily with field crews, superintendents, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Oversee full project administration, including:
• Utility coordination, COIs, lien agents, and safety documentation
• Track and manage project financials, including:
• Monthly P&L
• Change orders
• Schedules of values
• Procure materials and equipment while ensuring competitive pricing and cost control
• Attend pre-construction meetings, site walks, and project progress meetings
• Provide quarterly project updates to executive leadership

Background &

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of project management experience, ideally within civil sitework, utilities, or earthwork
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
• Hands-on, team-oriented mindset with strong relationship-building ability
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
