Role Overview
As a Field Project Manager, you will take ownership of construction related initiatives from early planning through final commissioning. You will be responsible for aligning stakeholders, driving schedules, resolving on site challenges, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
This position will support two active data center facilities and oversee critical power and generator commissioning efforts through mid 2026, with opportunities to transition into future phases of expansion or additional large enterprise accounts.
Key Responsibilities- Lead multiple construction and infrastructure projects from kickoff through closeout
- Coordinate project planning sessions to define scope, objectives, and execution strategy
- Build detailed project schedules, timelines, and milestone tracking systems
- Manage commissioning activities, documentation, and operational readiness deliverables
- Facilitate on site meetings, ensuring clear communication and accountability
- Identify risks early, implement mitigation plans, and resolve field issues quickly
- Oversee invoice tracking, budget monitoring, and cost control activities
- Assign resources appropriately to meet project demands and deadlines
- Maintain accurate project records, notes, and reporting dashboards
- Serve as an on site safety leader, promoting compliance and best practices
- Provide coaching, guidance, and developmental feedback to project team members
- Share lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement across projects
Success in this role requires strong planning discipline and comfort working with project tracking tools. You will utilize platforms such as Excel and Smartsheet to manage schedules, documentation, action items, and reporting.
What We Are Looking For- At least 5 years of project management experience, ideally in construction or critical infrastructure environments
- Proven ability to manage fast paced, high visibility field operations
- Strong organizational skills with a talent for keeping complex work streams aligned
- Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate with varied teams and stakeholders
- Experience with commissioning processes, scheduling, and field coordination
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, though equivalent hands on experience will be considered
- Clear and confident communication
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast moving environment
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail
