Position Overview

At Aurora Flight Sciences, we design, build, and fly advanced aircraft and enabling technologies from concept to reality. We are searching for a talented and self‑motivated Supplier Program Manager to help us create the future of flight.

Responsibilities

This position is on site at Manassas, VA but requires a high level of business travel. The role is not a people manager; it serves as the primary point of contact for suppliers. Key responsibilities include overseeing and managing strategies, performance, and development of large‑scale products and services; managing technical, business, product delivery, quality, and in‑service aspects of supplier/subcontractor relationships; establishing operating plans to monitor performance;

identifying and managing all aspects of supplier statements of work, RAA, contractual commitments, and performance to support procurement strategies; providing technical and business guidance to integrate strategic supply chain activities; leading stakeholder relationships and performance throughout all contract phases; conducting and guiding supplier assessments; developing current and projected work statements; leading and establishing the basis for recovery, corrective, and preventative action plans;

communicating supplier and organization performance plans, risks, issues, and opportunities to stakeholders; and developing and executing work movement plans.

Minimum Requirements
  • Education and experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g., Bachelor) and 14 or more years of related work experience, or equivalent combinations (e.g., PhD + 9 years, Master + 12 years, 18 years, etc.).
  • Able to multi‑task on various projects while maintaining data accuracy.
  • Highly flexible and able to adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
  • Basic math computations.
  • Read specifications and blueprints.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Must be a US Person.
  • No security clearance is required, but must possess the ability to obtain a clearance if needed.
Preferred Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of standard engineering concepts, practices, and procedures within an aerospace environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to travel to various domestic third‑party and/or Boeing/Aurora sites (25‑30%).
