PGS Worldwide is seeking a Quality Inspector in Manassas, VA for a 1-year contract-to-hire role working 1st shift, Monday–Thursday, approximately 7:00 AM–5:00 PM. This position supports a major aerospace & defense company and is ideal for early-career inspectors with experience evaluating mechanical and electrical hardware against engineering requirements. The role involves daily interaction with production teams and on-site customer representatives to ensure hardware meets all specifications.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and sketches
1–2 years of hands-on inspection experience or 3–5 years of hands-on mechanical/electrical assembly experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance (not required to start)
Experience using Solumina and Microsoft Office
Ability to complete inspection documentation, tags, and nonconformance reports
Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and light lifting
IPC-610, IPC-620, or J-STD-001 certification
Previous experience inspecting hardware for government or defense customers
Experience presenting completed hardware for customer inspection or sell-off
Background working closely with both manufacturing and quality engineering teams
Familiarity with production build processes and quality assurance practices
Inspect mechanical and electrical hardware to engineering drawings, specifications, and acceptance criteria
Determine hardware acceptance and document inspection results accurately
Complete nonconformance reports, defect tags, and related inspection paperwork
Participate as a member of the Product Quality Team, ensuring adherence to process and procedure across production builds
Interface with Navy On-Site personnel and/or DCMA during product sell-off and acceptance reviews
Support production by identifying compliance issues and communicating findings to manufacturing and quality teams
Maintain high standards of workmanship, professionalism, and communication throughout all inspection activities
