Kubernetes Engineer

Overview

Insight Global is actively hiring a Secret Cleared Kubernetes SME to join our team supporting a newly awarded DoW Program in Manassas VA.

All candidates must have a minimum of a Secret Clearance to be considered for this role.

The selected candidate will work as a senior level resource responsible for designing, deploying and supporting containerized applications on Kubernetes clusters; and provide final escalation support regarding containerization issues.

• Active Secret Clearance or higher
• Bachelors Degree in IT Related field and 8+ years of Systems Engineering, Software Development or Dev Ops experience. 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• 4+ years of Kubernetes experience specifically designing, developing, and deploying microservices and containerized legacy applications on Kubernetes clusters; and integrating containerized components within Kubernetes orchestration environments.
• Experience Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker, Podman, K3s and related tooling.
• Hands‑on experience with Helm for packaging and managing Kubernetes applications.
• Solid expertise in Linux development, integration, and troubleshooting
• Experience with Bash and/or Python

• Experience in Dev Sec Ops  and Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of C++ and Java software development.

Insight Global is hiring multiple candidates for this position so exact pay may vary based on candidates overall engineering experience, depth of knowledge in containerization and Kubernetes, as well as clearance level. We anticipate paying 180K - 220K for this position based on these factors. Health, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits are also provided.
