Job DescriptionThe formulator will be responsible for the proper handling in the weighing, dispensing, and mixing of raw chemical materials following the recipes of the formulations used in various in vitro fertilization processes. Controlling the parameters in the process of the solutions such as pH, osmolality, and refractive index as indicated in the production documents. Complying with production and quality standards to ensure timely and proper fulfillment of the weekly production plan.
ResponsibilitiesFollowing all safety rules, SOPs, cGMP, work rules, and other company policies and initiatives.
Following the written instructions in the work instructions to ensure weighing and mixing in aseptic conditions for the product to be manufactured.
Using the production laboratory equipment adequately to obtain reproducible products with the necessary traceability.
Collecting aseptic product samples from the produced material, labeling them, and delivering them to the quality department for additional analysis.
Reading the hazard and expiration labels of the chemicals to be used in the formulation recipes and performing the disposal of hazardous waste in the appropriate manner.
Verifying and maintaining the measurement and production equipment.
Participating in continuous improvements and projects focused on robust solutions, validation, and proceduralization, usually in collaboration with the research and development managers.
Performing the cleaning of the corresponding area when necessary following the guidelines for an ISO 8 clean room.
Completing training on time and collaborating with the induction and certification of new colleagues.
Following the written methods and procedures for all products.
Working with appropriate clothing (may include uniforms and/or clean room attire).
Following the instructions of the leader or supervisor.
Performing additional functions or assignments as required by management.
QualificationsHigh school diploma
Higher technical degree in chemical laboratory assurance of quality or pharmaceutical laboratory technician
Minimum of 3 years of related experience
Basic English language skills (A2)
Knowledge of the Windows package (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Listening, reading, writing, and effective communication skills.
High attention to detail.
Communication, teamwork skills, great ability to follow instructions and manage personnel.
Good hand-eye coordination.
Ability to see with 20-20 vision, or corrected.
Ability to lift weights up to 25 Kg.
Ability to use laboratory equipment such as granatarian and analytical balances, pH meter, osmometer, agitators, heaters and magnetic agitators, centrifuge, thermometers, incubators, or other specialized equipment.
Desirable:
Experience in production lines, previous experience working with sterile materials. Manual tool work and experience with computerized control equipment.
