Assistant Director of Nursing / Infection Preventionist

Full time, Day shift position at Birmingham Green in Manassas, VA.

• Back-up for Director of Nursing and Clinical Services in her absence, handling all responsibilities and duties.
• Assist Director in recruitment and selection of nursing staff.
• Coordinate the Pain Management Program, fall team and infection control.
• Coordinate the Wound Team.
• Provide on‑call coverage, including weekends.
• Coordinate the three unit managers in meeting continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate care systems, research and recommend changes to improve resident outcomes.

• Three or more years of experience in long‑term care with supervisory, staff development and quality improvement responsibilities.
• Working knowledge of Medicare regulations.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long‑term care.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and other computer skills.
