This physician-owned facility, accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, features 4 ORs and 4 treatment rooms supporting multispecialty procedures including Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Urology, ENT, Pain Management, Orthopedics, and Vascular.
Prince William ASC is seeking an experienced Full-Time PACU RN to join our team. Prince William ASC is a fast paced, multi-specialty surgery center committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.
Job SummaryThe PACU RN is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The PACU RN provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The PACU RN supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The PACU RN reports to the Manager of Peri-Operative Services.
Responsibilities- Assess patients’ post-operative condition, monitor vital signs and other indicators of recovery to ensure discharge criteria are met, and accurately log and chart all findings in patient records.
- Maintain continuous observation for changes in patient condition, promptly report concerns to the physician, and perform appropriate intervention duties during post-operative emergencies to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
- Active RN license in the state
- BLS and ACLS Required; PALS if required by the center
- 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
- Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
- Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
