Position: UVA Health- Bull Run Family Medicine- Family Nurse Practitioner, Manassas, VA

UVA Health's Bull Run Manassas is hiring an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join their growing team. The candidate will provide primary health care and perform selective medical services under the direction of practice physicians.

Your Role:

  • Interviews and advises patients regarding health and illness prevention.

  • Synthesizes data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan utilizing principles of prevention.

  • Recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs.

  • Collaborates with other departments or disciplines to achieve desired quality outcomes.

  • Monitors quality of core processes in department.

  • Obtains complete history and physical data on patients.

  • Reviews patient records.

  • Interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures needed.

  • Performs a complete physical exam and records findings.

  • Establishes presumptive diagnosis.

  • Orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures.

  • Performs independent evaluations and treatment procedures in emergency situations.

  • Provides monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.

  • Applies the principles of safety and infection control to ensure the safety of all patients.

Practice Details:

  • Practice Type & FTE:
    High-volume outpatient family medicine practice | 1.0 FTE (36 patient-care hours/week)

  • Schedule:

    Combination schedule with one long day (8:00 AM - 7:00 PM) and standard days ending at 4:30 PM; schedules structured to maintain 36 hours/week

  • Potential Patient Volume:

    • Long day: 20-30 patients

    • Regular day: 20-24 patients

    • Half day: 11-13 patients

  • Team & Support:
    Large, well-established group with approximately 20 providers

  • Call & Coverage:
    Shared call across Manassas, Haymarket, and Bristow practices; supported by Envera triage service; on-call responsibility approximately 2-3 weeks per year

  • Ancillary Services & Hospital Affiliation:
    Onsite lab services (Lab Corp), nurse visits, Myriad cancer screening; affiliated with UVA Prince William Medical Center and UVA Haymarket Medical Center

The base compensation range for this role is an hourly rate of 54.27 to 70.99 for a 1.0 clinical FTE status.

Individual compensation will be determined by fair market value and the selected candidate's qualifications, clinical experience, specialty training, credentials, and/or education. Please note that the pay range does not include any applicable incentive compensation programs, such as productivity, quality, non-productivity, or other incentives that may be available for eligible positions.
