Quality Control Auditor - 3rd Shift

The Quality Control Auditor is responsible for auditing products and production/packaging processes to ensure compliance with company quality and food safety standards. The position will identify and document deviations, communicate issues to management, and support the Quality Assurance team with various projects.

Conduct detailed quality audits of production and packaging lines.

Verify equipment such as metal detectors, X-ray systems, scales, and other inspection equipment.

Audit operator paperwork to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Identify, document, and report quality deviations to the QA Supervisor.

Follow up on corrective actions and ensure non-compliance issues are addressed.

Report housekeeping and food safety concerns.

Work closely with Production and Packaging Managers, Supervisors, and associates to resolve daily quality issues.

Enter, maintain, and track quality data using computer systems.

Ensure compliance with SQF, HACCP, FQP, FDA, and cGMP requirements.

Support continuous training and quality initiatives.

Ensure dietary supplements meet requirements for identity, purity, strength, and quality.

Provide backup coverage for the QA Specialist II as needed.

Participate in required training and perform other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma required; BS in Food Science or a related field preferred.

Knowledge of GMP and Quality Systems.

Ability to read and follow SOPs, test methods, and other technical documents.

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with production-level employees and management.

Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Ability to effectively identify and communicate quality issues.

Spanish-speaking ability is a plus.
