. Cashiers provide fast, friendly, accurate and safe service by processing Checkout and/or Return transactions and by monitoring the Self-Checkout area. They proactively seek product knowledge to inform customers and identify selling opportunities. They follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink.

• Process Checkout and/or Return transactions and monitor the Self-Checkout area to ensure smooth customer flow.
• Provide fast, friendly, accurate and safe service to customers.
• Proactively seek product knowledge to inform customers and identify selling opportunities.
• Follow policies and procedures to minimize shrink.
• Support the Head Cashier by expediting price checks and approving Point of Sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.
• Assist in supervising, coaching and training Front End Associates; participate in training of new Cashiers and use available tools to coach and develop other Cashiers.

• Preferred qualification for a Head Cashier is 1+ years of Cashier experience.
