• Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team.
• Execute rotation of merchandise and build displays.
• Monitor incoming cases for damaged items.
• Ensure delivery of excellent customer service and monitor the quality of Bakery products.
• Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment.
• Ensure execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and regulations, and verify that other Bakery team members follow these procedures.
• Adapt to a fast‑paced environment and support the team as needed.

• At least 18 years of age with a minimum of two years of retail grocery experience and two years of supervisory experience.
• Dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule that can include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly, and positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
• Good communication skills, capable of giving and receiving direction in a team environment.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work areas (tables, floor, walls, cases, cooler, freezer, etc.).
• Operate and use knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed; accurately weigh and label products.
• Stand for up to 3 hours continuously for an 8‑hour shift; lift vertically up to 5 lb. from 7″ to 64″ and horizontally up to 40 lb. from 5″ to 36″ over distances up to 36 ft., for up to 10 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations; maintain a Food Handlers permit.
