Pay Range

$17.40 - $23.40

Floor & Decor Designers provide a seamless start‑to‑finish consultative design service that builds lasting relationships and brand loyalty with the customers we serve. They meet with customers, listen to their project needs, educate them on all that is required for their project, and build a creative design concept that incorporates the customer’s personal style, lifestyle, and budget.

• Minimum of one (1) year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience
• Degree in Design is a plus
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills
• Self‑motivated and able to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position

• Greet store customers in a helpful manner and support store design walk‑in needs
• Schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers, while developing clientele through networking, referrals, and in‑store leads
• Provide tile, wood, stone, and accessory advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders for both residential and commercial projects
• Design and sell complete, functional, and aesthetically appealing solutions
• Manage multiple, simultaneous customer projects through all phases with a high level of accuracy, timeliness, and follow‑up, including consistent and concise communication to customers and others
• Use company communication tools consistently; emails are required
• Collaborate with store leadership and employees to manage projects from inquiry to installation, and achieve sales and other goals
• Support all company initiatives and goals by modeling and coaching best practices with store employees
• Stay informed on current and emerging design trends in the market
• Utilize design applications such as Salesforce, proprietary Online Design Appointment Scheduler, and My Project
• Perform other duties as assigned

Limited travel by car may be required. Employees are frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level is typically moderate to noisy.

Ability to exert 20–50 pounds of force occasionally, 10–25 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Requires use of hands and fingers, standing, walking, reaching with arms and hands, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as needed.

Monday – Friday: 7:00AM – 8:00PM
Saturday: 8:00AM – 7:00PM
Sunday: 10:00AM – 6:00PM
