Position SummaryA leading museum exhibit fabrication company is seeking a highly motivated Senior Account Executive to drive business growth within the museum and cultural institution market. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional with a strong background in the museum exhibit industry who enjoys developing new business, managing client relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional exhibit solutions.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of selling exhibit fabrication, museum services, or related solutions, understands the museum procurement and RFP process, and is comfortable managing opportunities from prospecting through project award.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within museums, cultural institutions, and related organizations.
- Develop and expand relationships with new and existing clients.
- Generate and manage a healthy sales pipeline while meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual sales goals.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and RFP responses.
- Serve as the primary liaison between museum clients, designers, project managers, and production teams.
- Build long-term partnerships through consultative selling and exceptional customer service.
- Represent the company at museum conferences, trade shows, and regional industry events.
- Travel as needed for client meetings, presentations, and industry exhibitions.
- 5-8+ years of successful B2B sales experience within the museum exhibit, exhibit fabrication, museum services, or related cultural institution industry.
- Proven success developing new business and growing strategic client accounts.
- Strong understanding of the museum procurement and RFP/proposal process.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, communication, and closing skills.
- Ability to build relationships with museum leadership, exhibit designers, architects, and other project stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, organized, and results-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Existing relationships or a portfolio of museum industry contacts is highly preferred.
- Ability to work onsite in Manassas, VA and travel as required.
