Overview

AWS is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Data Center Security Manager to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team.

• As a Data Center Security Manager (individual contributor) you will drive operational security excellence in several facilities located within a short driving distance.
• Identify physical security gaps and drive fixes immediately.
• Interface and direct vendors involved in new security construction, repairs, daily security operations and patrols, and planning.
• Extract metrics and observe improvements by analyzing hard data.
• Make recommendations to improve electronic surveillance and access controls.
• Educate data center occupants on false alarm reductions.
• Write and implement security processes and procedures.
• Write reports, create presentations, and communicate with management on the status of physical security operations.

• Experience with access control and CCTV systems
• 6+ months' experience in security roles, preferably in a data center or similar environment
• Additional education or training in security-related fields is a plus

• College Degree (Bachelor's) or background in Military, Law Enforcement with Arrest Authority, TSA Security, or Correctional Facility Officer areas
• 2+ years security experience or equivalent (demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education)
• 1+ year leadership experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $52,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $112,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on factors including location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other compensation may be provided as part of a total package.
