As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening in Manassas, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.76 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time Sat  05:00 AM - 01:00 PM

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"):
  You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:
  In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Screen individuals entering the location by verifying identification, credentials, packages, and/or authorized access in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details through appropriate channels.
• Monitor entry points, screening equipment, and visitor flow to help support authorized access and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as assigned, noting conditions that may require follow-up or additional response.

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  
  Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
