Officer, Safety & Security

Responsible for maintaining the safety and security of Iron Mountain facilities by preventing unauthorized access, monitoring systems, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents.

• Prevent unauthorized individuals/vehicles from entering the facility or restricted areas using the latest security technology.
• Monitor safety, security, and fire alarm systems; oversee onsite CCTV and respond as needed.
• Conduct required visual inspection of key assets and locations within the facility through roving foot and vehicle patrols, both inside and outside the facility, throughout the year and in all weather conditions.
• Appropriately document daily activity and report any significant security and safety incidents.
• Quickly and effectively assess and de‑escalate situations that may present a threat to the safety or security of anyone within the facility.
• Electrically provision temporary/permanent access for authorized individuals.

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Effective communicator – clearly convey messages and requirements to customers and team members.
• Multitasking ability – manage several security and ticket queue systems, with changing tasks throughout the day.
• Attention to detail – understand and follow documented processes and Iron Mountain’s safety code.
• Technologically adept, with preferred experience in access control systems and ticketing system software.
• Perform basic computer data entry.
