Position OverviewSecurity Officer Enhanced Part Time Route Patrol – Manassas, VA. This role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts as needed.
Pay Rate: $19.57 / Hour

Sat 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM
How This Role Works:
Fixed‑Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts") – You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six‑month commitment.
Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program – In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts via our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following site‑specific procedures and supporting access and visitor activity at a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations calmly and with problem‑solving skills, reporting details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols throughout the building, shipping and receiving areas, parking lots, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery documentation when required by site policy, and document security‑related events, observations, or policy violations.
- Support emergency response activities, follow post‑orders, and communicate with employees, visitors, drivers, and first responders during alarms, medical events, weather events, and other incidents.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card, and/or license is preferred.
- Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21 for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Background investigation required.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Drug screen required to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
