Security Officer - Access Control Technology

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Technology in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will manage visitor access, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and support a welcoming environment for employees and guests. You will use computer-based systems to maintain accurate access records, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service.

• Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect visitor passes, and maintain accurate access logs in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized access or security-related concerns.
• Support a professional environment at a technology infrastructure location by communicating clearly with site personnel and documenting incidents, observations, and required reports.

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
