Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Range:
Starting pay $25.00 – $35.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time, hourly position. $3,000 Sign-On Bonus.
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all makes of rotary screw and reciprocating compressors, including Centac and ECC, and other compressed air system components.
- Use precision measuring tools for diagnostic troubleshooting of compressed air equipment. Possess knowledge of all operations and parts manuals associated with equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on Ingersoll Rand compressed air equipment; interact with customers to address existing and unforeseen equipment concerns.
- Collaborate with Service Coordinator on ordering and gathering parts and supplies to complete installations and repairs.
- Assist and train apprentices and Field Service Technicians.
- Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers, verbally and in writing.
- Provide technical assistance on pre-commissioning, start-ups, installations, and repairs of compressed air systems, including hands-on work to meet customer requirements with limited guidance from the Master Technician.
- Increase customer awareness of Ingersoll Rand products, services, and solutions (e.g., Preventative Maintenance, Diagnostics, Audits, and Leak Detection) and how they can benefit operations.
- 2+ years of troubleshooting experience with industrial or commercial mechanical systems.
- Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including DUI in the previous 5 years, hit & run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving, or multiple smaller infractions in the previous 3 years.
- On-call availability is required after the first 90 days to adjust to the schedule (shared with every service tech). On-call weeks can occur about every 4 weeks or more, as determined by the hiring manager.
- Highly physical role requiring regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, kneeling; ability to lift or move weight in line with safety policy.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read wiring schematics and diagrams for all equipment.
- Advanced knowledge of network installations (IMMC/ASC, X Series Automation).
- Basic vibration troubleshooting and basic air quality understanding (system compressor/dryer – air treatment).
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer usage; comfort with handheld devices (smartphone, iPad) and networked systems.
- Maintain proper business travel practices in a cost-efficient manner.
- Industrial air compressor maintenance knowledge.
- EPA Certification.
