Carpenter Helper
This role supports commercial construction carpentry activities on a large data center project. The carpenter helper assists with foundational work, form work, and wall tie installation while learning and applying safe, efficient construction practices in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Assist carpenters with foundational construction tasks on a commercial job site.
- Support the setup, assembly, and removal of form work for concrete structures.
- Help install and secure wall ties according to project specifications and safety standards.
- Handle, move, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment as directed.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area throughout the shift.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and carpenters to complete tasks on schedule.
- Adhere to all site safety rules, procedures, and personal protective equipment requirements.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly to support smooth workflow on the job site.
- Hands-on experience in commercial construction carpentry environments.
- Ability to perform basic construction tasks such as assisting with foundational work and form work.
- Familiarity with wall tie installation or willingness to learn under supervision.
- Capability to work safely on an active construction site and follow safety protocols.
- Physical ability to stand, lift, carry materials, and work in a fast-paced setting for extended periods.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and reliability in showing up on time and ready to work.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience on commercial construction projects, especially data centers, is a plus.
- Basic understanding of construction tools and equipment used in carpentry work.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and take direction from experienced carpenters.
- Attention to detail when assisting with form work and wall tie placement.

Work EnvironmentThis position is based on a commercial data center construction site in Manassas, VA. You will work primarily outdoors or in partially enclosed structures, exposed to typical construction conditions such as noise, dust, and varying weather. The schedule follows standard construction hours, with the potential for overtime based on project needs. The role requires wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following site-specific safety procedures at all times.

This is a Contract position based out of Manassas, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
