Diesel Mechanic

As a Mechanic - Pump (Service Tech II) within the Fluid division at United Rentals, you will perform maintenance tasks and minor repairs on equipment in a safe and professional manner. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of pumps, providing exceptional customer service, and potentially progressing to higher‑level Tech roles.

• Perform service documentation
• Train lower‑level Technicians
• Demonstrate equipment for customers
• Travel to customer sites
• Other duties assigned as needed

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 3‑5 years of experience repairing and maintaining pumps of various sizes, capacities, and manufacturers
• Knowledge of construction equipment
• Strong mechanical background, particularly with various engines
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams
• Own the tools applicable to the position
• Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
