Job Summary
  • Serve customers by installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all makes of rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors, Centac and ECC air compressors, and additional compressed air system components.
  • Use precision measuring tools for diagnostic trouble shooting and apply knowledge of equipment operations and parts manuals.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure correct installation, maintenance, and field repair of equipment at purchaser locations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of field installation and repair requirements.
  • Provide technical advice and train customers, potential customers, field salesmen, and field service trainees.
  • Diagnose problems, recommend corrective actions, and submit accurate records and reports to the manufacturing facility.
  • Maintain integrity in handling business affairs.
  • Maintain clear written and oral communication skills to transfer information related to service work.
  • Submit detailed technical reports on each service call for billing purposes.
  • Record accurate expense accounts and timecards weekly; manage financial records and company business matters.
Basic Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of experience troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems; experience with compressed air systems, centrifugal technologies, or solid controls is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Desired degree program in Electrical/Electronic Technology or HVAC with knowledge of AC/DC circuits, wiring diagrams, motors/controls, PLCs, HVAC electricity, controls, refrigeration systems, and/or refrigerant certification. Military experience or adequate mechanical work experience is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with clean driving record.
  • EPA F‑GAS 608/303/2008/CE/ISHRAE Certification preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Work in diverse conditions including noisy equipment, extreme weather, high voltage areas, and potential electrical shock.
  • Occupationally demanding activities: frequent use of hands, walking, stooping, kneeling, and lifting or moving weights as per safety policy.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
  • Occasional travel for training: 1–2 times per year for one week (5–10% travel).
  • On‑call rotation covering customer emergencies during evenings and weekends; occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
Key Competencies
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer usage; handheld computer proficiency (smartphone, iPad), network basics.
  • Customer service skills: conflict resolution, communication, negotiation.
  • Maintain cost‑efficient business travel practices.
  • Mechanical competency to diagnose, troubleshoot compressor systems and machinery.
