Job Summary

Position: Diesel Mechanic – Level 2 (B) or Level 3 (A)

Location: Manassas, VA

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic with a proven track record in heavy truck and equipment repair. The ideal candidate will bring many years of experience, having worked for reputable businesses in the industry. This advanced-level technician will be proficient in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electrical systems, with a deep understanding of diesel engines and heavy‑duty equipment.

• $1,500 Sign‑On Bonus
• Quarterly Tool Allowance: $250 per quarter ($1,000 per year)
• Work‑Life Balance: Monday‑Friday 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (no weekends)

As a Heavy Truck Mechanic, you will:

• Ensure equipment is well‑maintained and safe for our customers.
• Use Mid‑Atlantic Truck & Equipment diagnostic equipment to research and complete repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance repairs, such as replacing or rotating tires, lubricating and replacing vehicle components, some electrical repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles.
• Maintain paper and electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a thorough and timely manner.
• Partner with the service manager to learn new skills through Mid‑Atlantic training and hands‑on coaching.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 4+ years experience with hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, and hoses.
• 4+ years experience with MIG and stick welding.
• 4+ years automotive electrical experience.
• 4+ years diesel engine repair preferred.
• Own tools.
• Valid driver’s license;
  Class A or B CDL a plus.
• Working mechanical knowledge, including hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.

• Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and reach.
• Must lift and move up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Must be able to get in and out of various vehicles without assistance.
• Must pass a DOT physical including drug screening.
