Rigger Position
Olive Recruiting is seeking a Rigger to support a steel fabrication and erection client based in Manassas, VA. This role will support machinery moving, steel erection, and rigging operations on active job sites, working closely with Foremen and field crews to safely execute projects. Position Type:
Full-time, direct hire with client
Schedule:
Variable based on project demands (typical hours 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM) Compensation:

Responsibilities:
- Assist with rigging and machinery moving operations using forklifts, cranes, skates, jacks, and other equipment
- Perform bull rigging and support controlled movement, positioning, and placement of loads
- Work alongside Foreman and crew to execute job plans safely and efficiently
- Assist with leveling, aligning, and anchoring equipment during installation
- Support steel erection and assembly activities as needed on job sites
- Follow all safety protocols and participate in safety meetings and training
- Maintain clear communication with crew members and supervisors on job progress
- Help load, unload, and secure equipment and materials for transport
- Travel to job sites and support all on-site activities as directed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist with daily housekeeping duties
- Complete required paperwork and assist with basic job documentation
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on rigging or machinery moving experience
- Experience with bull rigging and manual load control techniques preferred
- Familiarity with forklifts, skates, jacks, and basic crane-assisted rigging operations
- Understanding of rigging safety practices and proper equipment usage
- Ability to take direction and work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to travel and work a variable schedule based on project needs
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety
