Commercial HVAC​/R Technician; Journeyman in Manassas

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial HVAC/R Technician with a valid Journeyman License to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and split systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform corrective actions.
• Order and maintain parts needed to repair and maintain HVAC equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal HVAC codes and regulations.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Collaborate with other technicians, contractors, and facility staff to complete projects efficiently.
• Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot urgent HVAC issues.
• Recommend system upgrades or replacements when necessary.

• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Proficient in using HVAC tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Commercial HVAC: 3 years (Required)
• License/Certification: VA, MD, or DC Journeyman HVAC License (Required)
• CFC Universal Certification (Required)
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• High school diploma or GED; technical training or HVAC certification
• Smoke‑free / nicotine‑free work environment
• Must pass criminal background check & drug test
• Eligible to work in the US
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (rooftops, mechanical rooms, etc.)

• Competitive Salary: $45 - $65/hr + commensurate with experience
• Not a commission position, you are paid to do your job not sales
