Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Glazier Apprentice and Glass Installer Helper, where you will gain hands‑on experience in the glass installation industry while supporting skilled professionals. Key Responsibilities- Assist experienced glaziers and glass installers in measuring and installing glass and related materials
- Prepare work sites by cleaning, setting up tools, glass, and ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Handle and transport glass panels carefully to prevent damage
- Support the installation of hardware, doors, mirrors, storefronts, curtain wall, and specialty glass
- Follow instructions and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and report any issues
- Learn and adhere to industry standards and building codes
- Willingness to learn and develop skills in glass installation and glazing
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials
- Attention to detail and safety consciousness
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Prior experience in construction or manual labor is a plus but not required
- Valid driver’s license is required
- Must be able to drive to various job sites in the DC metro area or meet with partner to carpool in company van
- Ability to lift heavy glass
- Be a team player
- Must have an excellent attitude and be reliable
- Job site hours can vary based on project schedule
- Mostly Monday–Friday at times Saturday work will be required to catch up on projects
- Willingness to learn and develop skills in glass installation and glazing
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials
