Description
Lockheed Martin, a global leader in aerospace, defense, and technology solutions, is hiring a full‑time Kubernetes Microservices Software Developer and Integrator for its Rotary & Mission Systems team at the Manassas campus. This role focuses on supporting Navy programs.
The WorkThe successful candidate will: performs tasks supporting Navy programs and will have experience with Kubernetes, Bash and/or Python, and Linux. The position requires a Secret security clearance and is located at a facility requiring special access.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline and 3+ years of related experience, or equivalent education/professional experience.
- Experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices and containerized legacy applications on Kubernetes clusters.
- Strong background integrating containerized components within Kubernetes orchestration environments.
- Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker, Podman, K3s) and related tooling.
- Hands‑on experience with Helm for packaging and managing Kubernetes applications.
- Solid expertise in Linux development, integration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Bash and/or Python.
- Experience in Dev Sec Ops and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with C++ and Java software development.
This position requires a government security clearance. The candidate must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.

Work Location and ScheduleOnsite Full‑time:
The work will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Schedule:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
