Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software, Computer, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM discipline with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven Java development experience, including multithreading.
• Strong Linux/Unix development, integration, and troubleshooting background.
• Ability to integrate, test, troubleshoot, and refactor software systems.

The Work:
Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Software Engineer. In this role, you will perform software development tasks supporting Navy programs. The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge of coding in Java/C++ on a Linux Operating System. This position is located at a facility that requires special access; the selected candidate will be required to hold an active government Secret security clearance.

• Advanced Java multithreading experience
• UI frameworks:
  JavaFX / Swing
• Database experience (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or comparable)
• Inter‑process messaging middleware (gRPC, Artemis)
• Performance‑tuning tools (JVisualVM, JConsole, JProfiler)
• Reactive programming (RxJava, Kotlin Coroutines, Flow)
• Containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Agile full‑lifecycle development familiarity
• Bash scripting proficiency
