Position Summary

Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full‑time Software Engineer to support Navy programs. The role involves software development tasks in C++,
gRPC
, pub/sub design patterns, AMQP or other broker‑based messaging protocols, and the Linux operating system.

This position requires the holder to maintain an active government Secret security clearance and will be performed on site at a Lockheed Martin facility.

Basic Qualifications

8+ years of related experience and a post‑secondary degree or equivalent training (experience may substitute for a degree).

Strong background in Java development, object‑oriented design, and design patterns.

Experience with FOSS storage solutions, database design, and optimization of existing storage architectures.

Experience with Object Broker / Pub Sub communication patterns such as CORBA and gRPC.

Familiarity with Linux and shell scripting.

Desired Skills

Familiarity with software‑defined storage technologies such as RookFS and CEPH.

Familiarity with Kubernetes (K8s) and Helm Charts.

Familiarity with software pipeline automation tools like Gradle.

Familiarity with configuration technologies like JSON and YAML.
