The WorkLockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full‑time Software Engineer. In this role, you will perform software development tasks supporting Navy programs. The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge of coding in Java or C++ on a Linux operating system.
This position requires a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate will be required to hold an active government Secret security clearance and must be a U.S. citizen.

Basic Qualifications- Development, integration, troubleshooting experience with Linux/Unix operating system.
- Experience in software development, integration, and troubleshooting using Java or Python.
- Experience developing scripts using Bash or Python.
- Experience with K8s or K3s, Podman, or other containerization or orchestration technologies.
- Basic understanding of Agile full software life‑cycle development.
- Desire to integrate, test, and troubleshoot and refactor software systems.
- Linux administration access.
- Experience with networking switches, routers, etc.
- Experience debugging the HW/SW interface such as TPMs, BIOS, etc.
This position requires a government security clearance at the Secret level. You must be a U.S. citizen to be considered.
Work ArrangementsOnsite full‑time: the work will be performed at a Lockheed Martin facility.
Work schedule:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules, providing additional flexibility.
