Our client is a software company in the mobility and transportation technology space that develops solutions used by public agencies, municipalities, and transportation organizations to improve the movement of people and goods. Their products help customers manage complex transportation networks through a combination of software, data, and intelligent infrastructure technologies.

The organization is focused on modernizing and enhancing its technology platforms, with engineering teams working on scalable applications, cloud-based solutions, and customer-facing products that support critical transportation operations. They operate in a collaborative Agile environment and are looking for engineers who can contribute to both new feature development and long‑term platform improvements.

Contract‑to‑hire (6‑months to 1‑year)

• Support the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of software applications.
• Complete most development activities independently.
• Work on complex tasks requiring an in‑depth understanding of software engineering principles.
• Apply extensive knowledge of software development concepts, practices, and procedures to daily work.
• Design and refactor code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Use experience and judgment to estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate work.
• Break down work into manageable tasks and accurately assess effort required.
• Conduct timely code reviews and identify logic discrepancies or potential issues.
• Create and maintain installation guides, user documentation, and troubleshooting manuals.
• Support system configuration and application deployments, including occasional after‑hours assistance.
• Actively participate in and promote software development best practices and testing strategies.
• Identify software issues and recommend solutions for management review.
• Execute work efficiently while meeting agreed‑upon deadlines.
• Accept direction and feedback—both positive and constructive—in a professional manner.
• Continuously improve technical and professional skills.
• Have held at least two engineering‑related roles.
• Effectively lead maintenance engineering teams to ensure efficient workflows and maximum productivity.
• Provide daily support through issue analysis and resolution within established SLA requirements.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend solutions for complex technical issues.
• Coordinate with Project Delivery teams to successfully deploy software releases into customer environments.
• Investigate and troubleshoot customer issues while balancing technical solutions with business needs.
• Provide technical guidance and domain expertise to team members.
• Share troubleshooting knowledge and best practices through documentation and team presentations.

3–7 years of professional software development experience.

Strong full‑stack development experience with Java, React, MongoDB, and Type Script.

Experience building and maintaining modern web applications.

Strong understanding of REST APIs, software development best practices, and object‑oriented programming.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
