Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary:

SEACORP's Combat Systems Business Area is seeking a Software Engineer.

Software Engineers research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. The candidate should have the ability to be a to work in a fast-paced work environments and are able to collaborate with others while being able tohandle independent tasking.

Job

Responsibilities Include:

Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions.
Work on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.
Participate in daily scrums, 2-3 week sprints, PI planning,demonstration and retrospective ceremonies.
Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures,and tools throughout the development life cycle.
Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users todevelop software.
Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions,compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent engineering/technical degree with a concentration in computer science courses.

Experience :At least 2 years’ experience and proven performance in software engineering, including problem analysis and resolution, requirements analysis and definition, design, code, and integration testing.

Ideal

Skills and Experience:

Able to collaborate with others while being able tohandle independent tasking.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Proven knowledge and experience applying design patterns and object-oriented programming.
Experience with C++ and/or Java, Spring Boot andReactJS.
Candidate should be familiar with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and git.
Knowledge of container technologies and orchestration.
Experience with combat systems, control systems.
