Responsibilities- Operate Hydrovac trucks and equipment professionally and safely.
- Perform hydro excavation to expose underground utilities, dig trenches, and remove debris.
- Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and routine maintenance of equipment.
- Supervise and mentor laborers or swarmers on the crew.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, DOT regulations, and environmental standards.
- Complete all required documentation (field tickets, inspection logs, job reports).
- Set up and inspect grounding/bonding procedures for safe operation.
- Travel to various job sites and work in diverse weather conditions.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–2 years in vacuum excavation or related construction roles preferred.
- Valid Class A CDL — Manual with Tanker endorsement.
- Must pass a pre‑employment drug test.
- Proficiency in operating Hydrovac trucks and related equipment.
- Understanding of water pressure and vacuum systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, utility locates, and site plans.
- Basic mechanical skills for minor repairs and maintenance.
- Familiarity with GPS and mapping tools.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and situational awareness.
- Time management and adaptability.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to safety and continuous learning.
- Willingness to attend company‑provided training.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Ability to travel to job sites as needed.
- Must pass a background check, drug test, and motor vehicle check.
