Driver / Back up Quality Assurance (M-F 7a-4p)

The Commercial Vehicle Driver / Warehouse Operator is a dual role. Operations Driver safely operates commercial motor vehicles (GVWR >10,000 lb., 26,000 lb.) for local pick‑up and delivery (P&D) while performing warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, picking, and quality control. The role requires strict adherence to DOT/FMCSR, company SOPs, and site safety policies while meeting performance, safety, and quality objectives.

• Maintain a neat and orderly storage lot to maximize efficiency.
• Operate commercial vehicles within a ~20 airmile radius to deliver and recover freight.
• Verify shipment bills before loading.
• Load, unload, weigh, and check dimensions against shipper calculations.
• Sort outbound freight and load ULDs and trucks.
• Interact daily with warehouse supervisors and comply with warehouse safety requirements.
• Protect freight integrity and security during P&D.
• Follow all company policies, guidelines, and quality procedures.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

• Use gas or electric forklifts/MHE to load outbound shipments and move and stack product.
• Maintain an organized work area.

• Pull and prepare for shipment, ensuring exact quantity and type product is loaded.
• Perform picking duties efficiently to meet customer service standards.
• Prepare freight for operations accurately and timely.

• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
• Report quality variances.

• Move product from staging and/or storage to production lines and/or staging docks efficiently.
• Ensure proper documentation accompanies freight.

• Maintain accurate records and reports to guarantee tight inventory control and security.
• Assist in physical inventories and ensure proper stock rotation.

• Maintain a clean, neat, orderly work area and assist in warehouse security.
• Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site‑specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/ MSDS Standards.
• Participate in safety meetings.

• Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product using a forklift, clamp truck, drum attachment, or other power equipment.
• Inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment daily.
• Operate all equipment safely following prescribed work methods.
• Maintain an active forklift certification.

• Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.

• Change fuel tanks on forklifts as needed.
• Repair pallets and trailers as requested.
• Help maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Work overtime as dictated by business.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 months experience in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
• Able to operate MHE.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations

• Forklift training program completion.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Pass federal/state/local background checks and drug/alcohol tests.

Other

• Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during warmer and colder months.

• WMS functions.

Language Skills

• English (reading, writing, verbal).
