Responsible for pick up and delivery of inbound and outbound to customer location, using company vehicles at least 50% of the time. Employee driver who will operate commercial motor vehicles (vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight Range of >10,000 lb ≤26,000 lb) in the area surrounding a DB Schenker facility (within a 150 air-mile radius). Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Verify shipment-bills for required information and load freight onto trucks
• Unload freight from trucks and weigh/check dimensions compared to shipper’s calculations
• Sort outbound freight between overnight and second-day and load ULD and trucks
• Deliver freight to customer location using company vehicles
• Recover freight from customer location using company vehicles

Details/Specification/Explanation of the role specific skills:

• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass any federal/state/local government, airport, or company-required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests.
• This is an intermediate level position. Good interpersonal skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required. Generally, prefer 2-4 years of experience. We are an equal opportunity employer. We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a base hourly pay which is $25.50 an hour. Our benefits package includes paid time off and paid sick time in the first year, health insurance, a 401(k) plan, disability insurance, and more as described in our [1] benefits guide. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, performance, geography, and internal equity.
