Cargo Screener - Northern Virginia; VAXCOM

Job Description

We are looking for a Cargo Screener to join the Federal Solutions team at Vaxcom Services LLC
, a Parsons company. The role involves receiving and processing cargo into a classified federal warehouse.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all incoming cargo shipments to the classified federal warehouse.
• Physically receive and screen all incoming cargo shipments, completing required documentation to accept the cargo while ensuring that standard safety protocols for handling of the items are adhered to.
• Operate moving and/or loading/unloading equipment to bring items from the delivery vehicle into the facility and to the end point storage location.
• Ensure that uncleared individuals do not handle nor possess classified material outside of their normal scope of business.
• Verify inventory lists/cargo manifests/bills of lading match items received and accurately document any mismatches, communicating to management.
• Inspect for damaged items before accepting delivery of the cargo, documenting any issues.
• Perform ad hoc responsibilities as required by the Sponsor.

• Demonstrated outstanding organizational skills and the ability to multi‑task regularly.
• 2+ years of cumulative experience working with cargo, shipments, deliveries, or warehouse operations.
• Experience working as part of a team but also able to operate independently to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal) with people at all levels.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to scrutinize documentation for accuracy.
• Ability to resolve issues at the lowest level.
• Current and active SECRET level security clearance.

• Previous experience in a classified federal warehouse environment.
• Experience handling shipping documentation including manifests, bills of lading, inventory lists, and related forms.
• Experience with warehouse moving and loading/unloading equipment.
• Forklift operation and certification.

An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range: $18.94 - $33.17.
