This full-time HVAC Project Manager / Estimator role is based in Manchester, CT. The role includes managing commercial and industrial HVAC projects from proposal through completion, including estimating costs, preparing bids, and developing detailed scopes of work. Day-to-day responsibilities involve reviewing plans and specifications, coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal teams, overseeing project schedules and budgets, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

The role also includes tracking project progress, submitting change orders, supporting design/build efforts, and providing timely reporting and documentation for management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • We’re seeking a knowledgeable HVAC construction professional with experience in:
  • Project management and field coordination
  • Estimating, takeoffs, and cost analysis
  • Reading blueprints and specifications
  • Managing project budgets and schedules
  • Working with general contractors, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Design-Build experience is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in HVAC project management and estimating for commercial/industrial projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills to manage multiple projects.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, vendors, and field teams.
  • Proficiency with project management and estimating software, as well as standard office productivity tools.
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Experience in design/build or mechanical contracting environments is beneficial.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to visit job sites as needed.
