Job Duties
- Set the long-term creative vision for CT Live, evolving the brand through innovative content, audience engagement strategies, and partnerships that strengthen its position as Connecticut's leading lifestyle show.
- Lead the creative vision, editorial strategy, and daily production of CT Live, delivering compelling content that engages audiences across broadcast, streaming, social, and digital platforms.
- Lead editorial planning and oversee show execution, ensuring each episode is timely, engaging, and aligned with the CT Live brand.
- Produce and booth CT Live daily, leading the live execution of each broadcast while making real-time editorial and production decisions to ensure a seamless, high-quality viewer experience.
- Build, coach, and inspire a high-performing team of on-air talent and production staff, fostering a collaborative culture that encourages creativity, accountability, and innovation.
- Develop engaging lifestyle content and integrated brand partnerships that deliver value for viewers, sponsors, and the business while maintaining the highest editorial standards.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Creative Services, and Digital teams to develop innovative revenue opportunities and multiplatform campaigns that grow the CT Live brand.
- Champion a multiplatform content strategy, extending CT Live's storytelling across broadcast, streaming, social, digital, and emerging platforms to maximize audience reach and engagement.
- Identify emerging trends, audience interests, and new content opportunities to keep CT Live fresh, relevant, and competitive in the marketplace.
- Leverage audience insights, performance metrics, and market trends to inform editorial decisions, optimize content strategy, and drive audience growth.
- Maintain the highest standards of editorial excellence, production quality, and operational execution, ensuring every show meets deadlines, company expectations, and journalistic standards.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in television production, lifestyle programming, news, or related media field.
- Demonstrated experience producing live or live-to-tape daily or weekly television programming.
- Proven experience producing content for multiple platforms, including linear television, streaming, digital, and social media, with an understanding of audience engagement across platforms.

- Three to five examples of work that best demonstrate your editorial leadership, storytelling, and production experience (full episodes, show segments, branded content, or digital projects).
- A brief statement (250–500 words) describing your creative vision for lifestyle programming and an example of a project you’re most proud of leading.
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program.
- Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends as business needs require.
- Required on site:
This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
- Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, Media Production, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 2–3 years of people leadership experience with responsibility for coaching employees, assigning work, providing performance feedback, and leading daily editorial decision-making.
- Strong editorial judgment, creative vision, and exceptional storytelling skills, with the ability to develop compelling lifestyle content that resonates across broadcast, digital, streaming, and social platforms.
- Proven experience producing live or live-to-tape television and leading daily production workflows in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building, mentoring, and developing high-performing creative teams.
- Experience directing on-air talent, producers, and production staff while fostering a collaborative, innovative, and accountable team culture.
- Strong understanding of multiplatform content strategies, including broadcast, streaming, digital, and social media, with experience using audience insights and performance metrics to inform editorial decisions.
- Experience developing engaging lifestyle, entertainment, or community-focused programming, booking high-quality guests, and cultivating relationships with local organizations, businesses, influencers, community leaders, and sponsors.
- Experience collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Creative Services, and Digital teams to develop integrated sponsor ships, branded content, and multiplatform campaigns while maintaining editorial integrity.
- Demonstrated proficiency with newsroom computer systems, digital publishing platforms, and non-linear editing systems.
