Nocturnist opportunity in Manchester, CT

Great opportunity to join a tightly knit, highly skilled team of 8 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers (APPs). A nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Position Highlights:

• 249-bed community hospital located in Manchester, CT
• 3 physicians and 1 APP during the day, dedicated Nocturnist overnight
• 22 bed Closed ICU - managed with own intensivist group
• No procedures
• Average overnight census 65
• Average overnight admissions - 7
• Day APP starts with 13 patients and possible 2 admissions throughout the day
• Site Coordinator and Clinical Performance Nurse
• Family Residency on site to help with night admissions
• 7 on/7 off day APP 7am to 7pm;
  Nocturnist 7pm to 7am
• No Cath Lab on-site all patients that present to ER get transferred out.
• EMR Meditech with Dragon, upgrading to EPIC in July 2026
• Codes:
  Hospitalists are a part of the Rapid Response Team
• Location:
  
  20 minutes from Hartford and other great communities to live
• Open to IM and FM EXPERIENCED physicians

Compensation:

• $1,800 per night shift - Based on working an average of 15 shifts per month the annual salary will be $328,500
• Moonlighting Shift rates: $300/shift additional for shifts worked more than 45/quarter
