East Catholic High School is looking for a dynamic educator who has the ability to work with students from remedial through honors level courses.

Ensures, along with the Administration, that the mission of East Catholic High School, the charism of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, and the Catholic identity of the school are clearly articulated and carried out to all constituents.

Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school.

Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Develop and implement engaging target language lesson plans.

Have high motivation and task orientation.

Have superior instructional skills, with a commitment to interdisciplinary instruction.

Carry out teaching assignments effectively.

To work as a department member and a member of the faculty.

To consult with teachers, administrators, staff, and parents on a continuous basis.

To carry out all facets of the position consistently and enthusiastically.

Connecticut Teaching Certificate or previous teaching experience preferred in World Language.

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in World Language.

References (both professional and personal).

Must submit to a background check and Virtus training.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong leadership skills.

A practicing Catholic in good standing with his/her parish.
