Job Overview
Yulista Contract Services LLC is seeking an Instrumentation Technician to conduct full on‑site and off‑site maintenance, flight, and functional check flight operations for the U.S. Army Flight Test Directorate (AFTD) at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The role is performed in compliance with Army directives, including AR 95‑1 and AR 95‑20.
Essential Duties- Perform system‑level design using computer‑aided drafting (CAD) software.
- Conduct in‑depth troubleshooting of instrumentation systems.
- Apply tools and techniques to address assigned duties.
- Complete instrumentation test flights on AFTD aircraft and isolate/diagnose faults.
- Execute other duties as assigned.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities but carries full responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Design layouts, suggest improvements, and develop solutions to design problems.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. Army helicopter platforms.
- Effective written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
- Team‑oriented collaboration skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two of the following:
- Graduate of an accredited technical school, college, or military school with training in electronics theory.
- Valid FCC license with demonstrated proficiency in electronics theory and application.
- Valid FAA airframe license, or
- Four (4) years of avionics or armament experience.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of specialized instrumentation, aerospace testing, and system design/development.
- Specialized instrumentation experience, training, and knowledge of transducers and strain gages.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Ability to perform in‑depth troubleshooting and repair on instrumentation systems.
- Maintain a drug‑free workplace; participate in post‑offer, pre‑employment substance abuse testing.
